Community Benefit

At Norwalk Hospital, we are not only your caregivers, we are your neighbors, friends and family.

As part of our commitment to the health of those we serve, we spend time in the community promoting healthy living and prevention through screenings, wellness classes and support programs hosted throughout Fairfield County. Working together, we are creating a healthier community by empowering residents to take charge of their health.

As a non-profit community hospital, we are also committed to treat everyone who turns to us for care, regardless of their ability to pay. In fiscal year 2015, Norwalk Hospital provided the following in community benefit, charity care and financial assistance:

Community Benefit        $71,977,859
Financial Assistance       $55,809,785
