CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE
On Friday, May 3rd, Norwalk Hospital celebrated a major milestone breaking ground on a new ambulatory pavilion to meet Fairfield County’s growing need for outpatient care. The new pavilion marks the largest expansion project in Norwalk Hospital’s 120-year history.
To better serve our community, Norwalk Hospital is building a new Ambulatory Pavilion. This exciting development will result in superior patient comfort, access to care and increased efficiency with a new, enhanced:
Our Ambulatory Pavilion will not only provide modern facilities, upgraded technology and enhanced patient privacy, but it will also allow Norwalk Hospital to accommodate future development.
For more information about our new Ambulatory Pavilion, please call Community Relations at 203-852-2250or visit norwalkhospital.org.
Beginning Dec. 17, 2012, the ambulatory entrance will be closed.
All patients and visitors, except as noted, will use the main entrance of the hospital and park in the garage, accessible from Maple Street.
Parking is free for the first hour, then $1/hour, up to $5/day.
Emergency Department (ED)
The ED entrance and valet parking will remain in its current location. There is no access to Ambulatory Services from the Emergency Department entrance.
Medical Offices, Maternity and Whittingham Cancer Center
Patients will continue to park in their current locations.
Effective March 8, 2013 for approximately seven weeks, visitors and patients parking in the Norwalk Hospital garage should access the garage from the Maple Street entrance, not the Stevens Street entrance.
As part of the ambulatory pavilion project currently underway at Norwalk Hospital, portions of an employee lot on Maple Street will be closed during this time period. Employees who normally park in this lot will be directed to park only on the bottom levels of the garage, leaving the top levels for patients and visitors.
