Norwalk Hospital Volunteers are a team of over 600 members ranging from the ages of 14 to 90+ years old. Our volunteers are committed to promoting a service oriented, caring philosophy by providing assistance to Norwalk Hospital staff in delivering quality care. Volunteers work in over 80 areas of Norwalk Hospital, with patients, staff, families, and visitors providing assistance, support, and care to continue and enhance the Hospital's mission of quality patient care. We offer area residents an opportunity to become involved with their community hospital, and enable individuals to explore career paths, develop new skills, and utilize existing ones. Visit our "Quick Links" menu to the left for more volunteer information.
Some volunteers give their time to services whose profits are used for gifts to the hospital. Monies earned from the Grace Cole Jones Gift Shop, Babies Alumni, Book Sales, and Designs for Recovery craft tables have been used to purchase new ambulances, wheelchairs, medical equipment, and to help fund building projects at Norwalk Hospital.
