If you live in Norwalk or the surrounding towns (New Canaan, Westport, Wilton and Weston), you should know that the fastest, most effective way to get emergency medical treatment is to dial 9-1-1. At Norwalk Hospital, emergency treatment begins the moment you make the call. We are the only hospital in Connecticut to staff our ambulances with our own skilled and highly trained personnel.
Trauma, Stroke and Heart Attack Care
At Norwalk Hospital, we’re equipped for and well prepared to handle the most serious medical emergencies. We are a Level II Trauma Center. Our Critical Care Unit has won national quality awards. We are a certified Stroke Center, offering optimal care quickly and efficiently for patients suffering stroke. For patients experiencing an acute heart attack, Norwalk Hospital is certified as a Primary Angioplasty Center.
