Labor and Delivery

At Norwalk Hospital, we know that every birth is special! Though equipped with advanced technology, our Childbirth Center is designed to provide a lovely, homelike environment for the finest birthing experience in Fairfield County. From our tasteful accommodations to extra personal care from expert obstetricians and other birthing professionals, we know how to pamper mothers and their new babies.

Our expert labor and delivery staff provides warm and nurturing care in an environment designed to help you safely welcome your baby into the world.  Norwalk Hospital provides a full-time OB-GYN Hospitalist program staffed by board-certified OB-GYNs who are in the hospital 24/7, 365 days/year, and available to assist your own OB-GYN whenever they are not immediately available in the hospital.

Labor and Delivery

Our seven private birthing rooms are comfortable and homelike; they are also equipped with advanced obstetrical equipment and monitoring systems to ensure a safe delivery. Our caesarian delivery suites are located just down the hall.

We consider every birth to be special! We celebrate the arrival of each newborn by playing Brahms Lullaby chimes over our public announcement system, thanks to the generosity of the Babies Alumni and Volunteer Services.

Afterward, you’ll enjoy in-suite amenities, including beautiful single rooms with private baths and showers, massage therapy for infants and mothers, wireless internet access and flat-screen televisions.
