Volunteer Services

Norwalk Hospital Volunteers are a team of more than 400 members ranging from the ages of 18 to 90+ years old. Our volunteers are committed to promoting a service-oriented, caring philosophy by providing assistance to Norwalk Hospital staff in delivering high-quality care. Volunteers work in more than 80 areas of the Hospital with patients, staff, families and visitors, providing assistance, support and care to continue and enhance the Hospital’s mission of quality patient care.

Through volunteering, Norwalk Hospital offers area residents an opportunity to become involved with their community hospital, and enables individuals to explore career paths, develop new skills and utilize existing ones.

Some volunteers give their time to services whose profits are used for gifts to the Hospital. Monies earned from the Grace Cole Jones Gift Shop, Babies Alumni Association, book sales, and Designs for Recovery craft tables have been used to purchase new ambulances, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and to help fund building projects at Norwalk Hospital.
