Wound Healing

Our Wound Care Center

We offer a wide variety of advanced treatments for difficult-to-heal wounds. With over 30 years of hyperbaric experience, we have more experience in complete wound management than any other center in our region.

Wound Care Services

The terms “problem wounds” and “slow-healing wounds” describe wounds that take too long to heal, even with medical or surgical treatment.

Examples of wounds we treat here at the Norwalk Hospital Wound Care and Vascular Medicine Center include diabetic foot wounds, compromised amputation sites, non-healing traumatic wounds, and non-healing ulcers.

Hyperbaric Medicine

When used in conjunction with standard wound care, hyperbaric oxygen has shown improved results in the healing of difficult wounds compared to routine wound care alone. Norwalk Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center is accredited by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society  (UHMS), and offers state-of-the-art hyperbaric treatment.
