WILTON, Connecticut – September 28, 2016 - Western Connecticut Medical Group (WCMG) is pleased to announce that gastroenterologist Dr. Claudia Gruss has expanded hours and is seeing patients for gastroenterology consultations and ongoing care at the WCMG-Arbor Medical Group office located in Wilton.
Dr. Gruss earned her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed training in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. She is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Gruss, a native of Norwalk, has been a private practice physician specialist for more than 34 years. She joined the Western Connecticut Medical Group in October, 2015.
Dr. Gruss’ clinical interests include:
• Consultation for digestive diseases
• Colo-rectal cancer screening
• Gastro-esophageal reflux disease
• Celiac disease
• Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis)
• Small bowel capsule endoscopy interpretation
• Upper endoscopy/BRAVO capsule placement
A member of the Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology at Norwalk Hospital, Dr. Gruss is actively involved with the gastroenterology fellowship program as a clinical educator. She is Chair of the Connecticut State Medical Society Quality of Care Committee and a member of the New England regional Comparative Effectiveness Research Public Advisory Council. A fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, Dr. Gruss has been listed in the Castle Connolly guide, Top Doctors: New York Metro Area annually since 1996.
